Hi, I'm Tori Zdeb-Weber, an Instructional Designer who thrives on solving problems, building meaningful learning experiences, and bringing a thoughtful, human-centered approach to everything I do.
From childhood jigsaw puzzles with my family to building complex training solutions today, I've always been drawn to the process of seeing how small parts come together to form a bigger picture. I'm a born problem solver, curious, creative, and relentless in the pursuit of better. If I don't yet have the tools to create the solution I imagine, I'll find them.
After eight years as an educator, I was ready for a new challenge and discovered instructional design, where my passion for learning strategy, curriculum development, and tools like Articulate Storyline and Vyond immediately clicked. Since then, I've had the opportunity to grow far beyond where I started. Most recently, I spent nearly a year on a large-scale government defense contract, designing interactive technical training for the U.S. Navy while simultaneously serving as Scrum Master and lead ISD for my team. That experience taught me what it really means to build something from the ground up under pressure: developing onboarding programs for new IDs from scratch, coaching team members with varying experience levels, and creating structure and clarity in an environment where the path forward wasn't always clear. What I'm most proud of from that chapter isn't any single deliverable. It's that my team felt trusted, supported, and empowered to do their best work, even when the circumstances were hard.
I believe learning should feel empowering, not overwhelming, and that same philosophy shapes how I lead and collaborate just as much as how I design. I approach every project with empathy, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to making learning accessible, effective, and worth someone's time.
When I'm not designing learning experiences, I'm probably climbing a rock wall, backpacking through the mountains, reading, horseback riding, tending to my garden or menagerie at home, or hitting the track with my roller derby team. I live a passionate, active life and find inspiration everywhere, in nature, in people, and in puzzles of all kinds.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm so glad you're here.
